About Us

”Along the valley of the Struma river is located a paradise land where the sun never sets, the Mediterranean breeze caresses the soul and migrating birds create a new life” (...in the poetic words of nearby Orbelius Winery!).

Our small campsite and guest house is ideally situated to take advantage of the many tourist attractions in beautiful Southwest Bulgaria, being 5km from the main Sofia to Greece Highway (E79), and around 15 minutes from the Greek border at Kulata. We are 2 hours from Thessaloniki or Sofia, and 1.5 hours to Bansko's ski resorts.

We are 7km from Rupite's hot springs and Vanga memorial, and 11km from Melnik, with its famous wines, history, landscape and architecture. Our region enjoys a unique and pleasant climate with the most sunny days and least rain in Bulgaria, and the famous spa town, and health and therapy resort, Sandanski, is 18km away.

There are many opportunities locally for healthy natural pursuits including walking, trekking, cycling, mountainbiking, rafting, canoeing, fishing and birdwatching.

The area is renowned for the quality of the wine produced, and there are vineyard tours & tastings, also many cultural and heritage sites to visit.

We are located in the foothills of the Pirin Mountain range — a protected area of outstanding natural beauty, with the magnificent Belasitsa and Slavyanka ranges nearby. Kromidovo is a small peaceful village with a shop for basic provisions and a couple of bars. There is also a 25m mineral spring swimming pool, with snack bar, (pool is open June to September), a mere 2 minutes walk from the campsite.

We offer a transit stop or base for exploration, in ecological tranquility, at the edge of this friendly village in the homelands of Spartacus.

• Bring your own tent/campervan/caravan or hire a tent from us & pitch on our field.
• Electric hook up plus water points and clothes washing. Also kitchen facilities.
• Glamping — stay in our stylish luxury tipi or bell tent (both 5m diameter).
• Modern kitchen, shower and toilet facilities. NB PLEASE NOTE Apologies, but toilet cassette disposal is for ecological products only (eg 'Thetford Green'). (Click here for information)
• Rooms — rent a room, stay bed and breakfast, or rent the apartment of our guest house.
• Free Wireless Internet Access. Good internet connection.
